Alpine
Services, Inc. offers a complete beach cleaning service. We utilize a
Cherrington 4000 to clean the sand itself and enhance the process with
the addition of supplemental equipment. Front end loaders are available
to move large objects and load spoil directly into dump trucks. Mid-sized
excavators are capable of removing buried debris and can load directly
into dump trucks as well.
The photos at right, show the various aspects of Alpine’s beach
cleaning services.
Alpine Services can meet your beach cleaning needs, ranging from simply
using the Cherrington 4000 to clean minor debris, to using large equipment
to move large debris items. This equipment is hauled on one or two of
Alpine’s 53' semi-trailers and can be moved quickly
as far as Maine or Louisiana. Alpine is quick to respond, great
at doing an excellent job, and easy to work with. Call ALPINE
SERVICES, INC. if we can be of assistance to your beach cleaning needs.

The approximate depth of sand cleaning can range from 1” to
4”, depending on the moisture of the sand and the size
and type of screen on the machine. The Cherrington, the machine
used for this process, can also be used without a screen
to allow for shallow scalping of the sand and to remove a layer
of contaminated sand. |
Screened sand falls back to the beach—the beach rake that
is normally on the rear of the machine is not shown. |
This shows the resultant cleaned sand after screening. |
The Cherrington trash bucket is dumping into the loader bucket.
The loader removes the debris from the beach area—this
is much faster than taking the cleaner off the beach to a dump
area. |
|
The height that the trash bucket can be lifted before dumping
is advantageous. The machine can dump into a single-axle dump
truck, loader bucket, or at a dump location on the site. Note
the removed debris that is in the loader bucket.
|
The loader carries spoil to a dump truck. The truck could not
go on the beach without becoming stuck. |
Some debris must be removed by hand into the loader bucket. |
Alpine has a total of 4 loaders of various sizes to aid in the
hand cleaning needed on most beaches. |
|
Alpine’s mid-size excavator removes heavy debris—Alpine
also has chain saws to cut trees and limbs, allowing removal
of larger debris. |
Removal of large debris is easy for Alpine’s mid-sized
excavator. |
Alpine’s mid-sized excavator loading large debris into
a truck on the edge of the beach. |
Debris that is too heavy for the beach cleaner is raked into
piles and loaded with front-end loaders onto trucks. |
|
A tractor is pushing piled debris into the loader bucket. The
debris is often difficult to move since it is usually mixed with
some sand. |
One can see the significant variance in size of debris on this
uncleaned beach. |
This is the size of smaller debris that is normally encountered. |
This beach has received the initial cleaning, but not the final
cleaning. |
|
This finished beach has received the final cleaning. |
The finished beach—note that the actual finish is normally
a raked finish; the rake was removed from the machine for the
photo shoot. |
