Name: North Kehoe Field Client: Georgetown University Type: Sand Cap Georgetown's North Kehoe Soccer Field in Washington, DC is the site of Alpine's first sand cap field. This innovative Alpine design included the installation of new irrigation, drainage, and sod on a clay-capped landfill. This field has lasted well under heavy use. It has multiple activities on it and limited maintenance. The sand cap concept has been shown by this field to be a good idea that was, at the time, well ahead of the other field building techniques. <<< back |
